“One of my original seven, yes.” My last original. Bay still saw them all as his property, and he felt a touch of bitterness in his soul thinking about how they’d all been taken from him. He didn’t blame himself for any of their deaths. It had all been set into motion by one person. And he was still determined to figure out who they were. His teeth clenched as the anger bubbled inside him.
He met her eyes. “Do we have a deal or not? I’ll need you to come to Taunt tonight at eight.”
Raven let out a sigh. “Darek can’t know.”
“I won’t tell him.” He gave his vow, knowing he couldn’t prevent the inevitable. “This will be our dirty little secret. Besides, he’s moved on, Raven. It’s time you did too.” He could tell by the fading of the light in her eyes that she didn’t like hearing the truth.
Raven reached out for his hand, meeting his eyes. “You have a deal.” As soon as his hand closed around hers, she took the stacks of bills with the other one and tucked them into her blouse.
“You know,” said Bay, looking her up and down as he licked his lips. “I can’t help but wonder what all the fuss is about. Maybe one day you’ll show me?”
Raven walked to the door. “That will cost you another twenty grand.”
“I’ll keep that in mind, sweetheart.” As she shut the door, he eased back in his chair and smiled.
Chapter 9
Ethan
The air had turned a bit cooler than Ethan had expected, and the soupy smell of the streets was not as thick as he remembered it as he walked across the parking lot to the club ahead.
“Are you sure this is the place?” asked Nate, staring at the crowd going in. It looked like any other club on the outside, and some of the people in line left a lot to be desired and very little to the imagination when it came to their clothes.
“This is it. Don’t worry. We’ll have fun.”
Nate’s head turned as a man in a pair of chaps walked by, his bare ass shining in the streetlights. “I’m just worried about what kind of fun your friend has in store for us.”
Ethan couldn’t help but laugh at him, “I trust Bay, and he’s well aware of our sexual preferences. But it’s not like you have to participate in anything you don’t feel comfortable doing. It’s not like we’re going to double penetrate the same girl or anything.”
“No way, man. My balls are not touching your balls.”
“Dude, your balls would be honored to touch my balls. It’s your balls that I don’t want touching me.” He laughed as they walked up to the door.
“You better hope no one recognizes us,” Nate said. “These fucking baseball caps aren’t the greatest disguise, and no one else is dressed like us.”
“Relax. We’re not dressed like us.” He had deliberately traded his western wear for something a little more city and was thankful he’d allowed Shannon to help him build his wardrobe while they were together. It was the only useful thing she’d done for him, other than spread her legs.
Ethan skipped the line and walked up to the door with Nate following. Ethan flashed his VIP bracelet to the bouncer. “He’s with me.”
“Right this way,” said the man, who held the door open. “Go in and take the first right to the stairs. Mr. Collins will be there waiting.”
“Thank you.” He pulled Nate along with him, and they headed into the hall and up the stairs. He knocked on the door at the top, and when it opened, a gorgeous blonde greeted them. “Hello.” For a moment, Ethan thought it was Lila but then realized she was a bit too young to be. “We’re looking for Bay.”
“Right this way.” She gave him a smile as she led them inside.
Bay was lounging on the other side of the room, and the little blonde walked over to sit close to him like she’d been trained to do so. “Gentleman,” he said. “Come in. Make yourselves at home.”
He gestured to the two black leather couches that took up most of the room, where a beautiful black-haired angel with creamy skin sat waiting. Ethan’s jaw dropped, and he was sure his eyes had bugged out of his head like in one of those zany cartoons he watched as a kid.
“Ethan, this is Raven. Raven is very eager to meet you.”
She got to her feet and greeted him by taking his hand and pulling him closer. Ethan hadn’t expected someone of such beauty, and she could easily rival Shannon, who was a fucking supermodel. “It’s very nice to meet you, Raven.”
“Likewise.” Her smile was a bit weak, but what she did with her eyes made up for it. She looked him up and down and licked her lips, like the lust for him was growing strong.
Nate cleared his throat, and Ethan looked around to see him standing by the door, eyeing the blonde who was the only other girl in the room.
“This is my friend, Nate. Nate, this Bay and Raven, and, I’m sorry, honey?”
“This is Mia.”
Nate smiled at Mia. “Well, Mia, you’re just about the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen.”
Mia smiled and gave a polite, “Thank you.” But then she laid her head on Bay’s shoulder.
“Mia is Lila’s sister, Ethan,” said Bay.
“Ah, I thought I noticed a resemblance.” He hoped that Bay hadn’t forgot to hook Nate up, but he was pretty sure by the way Mia clung to his arm he wasn’t sharing her.
Before he could ask, a young woman knocked on the door and stuck her head inside. She was a petite redhead, with big doe eyes that barely drew Ethan’s attention away from her tits, which spilled from the top of her red corset. She walked in carrying a tray of drinks and then sat on the arm of the couch next to Bay.
“Thank you, Eve.”
Nate’s eyes lingered on the woman, and Ethan hoped this was the one Bay had for him because Nate had always had a thing for redheads.
“Nate,” Bay said. “Eve is one of my closest friends down here at Taunt. She’s been in my employment for five years and usually operates the club in my absence. She’s the pinnacle of discretion.”
“Well, it’s nice to meet you, Eve.” Nate held out his hand, and when she took it, he smiled and planted a kiss on her knuckles.
“It’s nice to meet you too. Would you like for me to show you around the club while we get better acquainted?” She held out her hand, and Nate took it. As she led him away, Ethan didn’t miss her looking over her shoulder and giving Bay a wink.
Once they were both gone, Ethan relaxed next to Raven. “You did a good job, Bay.” He let his eyes trail down her body as Bay got to his feet.
“Good. I’m glad you’re pleased. Now, Mia and I are going to go for a walk and mingle. Make yourself at home, and remember, that band will get you anything you want. Eve has also been instructed to do the same courtesy for your friend. She’ll be his temporary VIP pass, if you will.”
“Thanks. I owe you one.”
Bay nodded. “We’ll settle up later, friend.”
Once he and Mia were gone, Ethan turned his attention to the dark-haired beauty beside him. “Your name really suits you.”
“I get that a lot,” she said with a smile. She picked up the drink off the tray in front of her and downed it in two gulps. Then she let out a long breath.
“Shot of courage? Am I that bad?” Ethan could tell that she was a bit rattled, but she shook her head.
“No, just thirsty.” She turned and put her arm around him. “What are your preferences?” she asked as she placed her other hand on his chest.
Ethan smiled. “Are we going to do this here?”
“We can go downstairs to a private room if you like.”
“Do you have a favorite?”
She smiled. “I know just the place.” She got to her feet and held his hand over her shoulder as she turned and led him out of the room and down the stairs.
He kept in step behind her, his body often so close he could feel her warmth against him, and yet at times, he kept enough distance to get a good look at her ass and the way her hips swayed when she walked.
As she led him across the dance floor, he pulle
d her close and smiled, but it didn’t change her hungry look like she wanted to devour him. It was damned near intimidating. She led him down a long hall of doors, and the place reminded him of a prison for some reason, but the moans and sounds of pleasure filled his ears more than the music the farther they walked.
“Here,” she said as she opened the door to a dark room that was lit with the dimmest red light. “This is my favorite room.”
He followed her in, hoping the others were having as much fun as he was going to have. His cock hardened as she unzipped her dress and stepped closer. She spun around for him to finish the task for her, and he obliged, his fingers working down the zipper and then slipping the top away from her shoulders, which he kissed softly.
“You’re not used to places like this and girls like me, are you?” She dropped the dress to the floor and stepped out of it, leaving on her panties, stockings, and heels.
He grinned, hating that he was that obvious. “No, I guess I’m used to women acting like they worship me first.”
“Is that what you desire from me? Being worshiped?” She stepped over, kicking her dress away, and undid his pants. Before he could make a move to help, her hand was on his cock, flesh to flesh, stroking it like a pet.
“It’s just most of the women I’m with are fans. I bet you’ve never heard one of my songs, if you even know who I am at all.”
“Does that bother you?” she asked.
“No, I kind of like it.” He took her in his arms and walked her to the platform in the middle of the room, which was designed for fucking, and he lifted her ass to perch her there. “I think I might prefer worshipping you.”
He leaned forward to kiss her, and his hands found their way between her thighs, where her mound was slick and freshly waxed and her slit was wet and ready for him.
He lowered himself to her breasts, kissing her nipples, which grew tight with his attention, and he smiled at her moans as he slipped two fingers inside of her.
“Do you like to watch or be watched?” she asked, her voice low and sensual.
“Watching is hot, but the only performances I give are on stage.”
She smiled and hit a button on the platform beside her. Suddenly, the wall behind her opened up.
“Fuck!” Ethan looked at her like she was crazy. “I don’t want a fucking audience.” He pulled away, but she gripped him with her thighs to keep him close.
She laughed. “Relax. They can’t see you, but we can see them.”
He laughed. This girl was unbelievable. “What if I don’t want to see anyone else?” He was afraid that it would be Bay or his young girl, or worse, Nate. But when the wall came down, he glanced over to see two women going to town on a man he’d never seen before.
“That’s not so bad, is it?” Raven asked.
He stared for a moment and then slipped his fingers back into her dripping slit, watching the show between kissing and petting. Finally, he couldn’t take it anymore, and he centered his cock at her entrance and moved inside her.
“Fuck, you’re tight.”
“Surprised?” she whispered, milking his cock with her walls.
“I have a feeling you’ll never stop surprising me.”
Raven moved in for a kiss but stopped short to look into his eyes. “You haven’t seen anything yet.”
Chapter 10
Bay
Mia moved against Bay on the banquette, grinding his cock which was still tenting his pants as they watched the crowd. He reached around her and stroked the front of her panties, feeling the dampness. He leaned forward and whispered in her ear as his other hand came around her to stroke her breast. “You’re getting greedy for it aren’t you?”
She threw her head back onto his shoulder. “Yes, I want it here and now. I’m your greedy little girl.”
“With everyone watching you work me like a little whore?” He had noticed the men she was entertaining and had even encouraged a few of them to stroke themselves while they watched. He loved seeing his Mia have the power over them, and it was especially hot knowing that he really controlled things. He could have her stop anytime he wanted, but he was so close to his own release, he wasn’t about to do that.
Her hair brushed his cheek. “I love their eyes on me, knowing it’s only because you allow it.”
“That’s right, Mia. I allow it. What if I was to throw you to them like meat to a pack of wolves?”
She moaned and brought her hand down to his, holding it over her panties. “I’d lay down and let them devour me if it pleases you.”
“Fuck, yeah. Just the words I wanted to hear, baby.” He reached down and released his cock and moved her panties to the side. “Ride me, you little slut.” He braced his arms around her front, putting his hand around her throat. “Let them all see what they can’t have. Let them see who you belong to, Mia, and how much you like it.”
He closed his eyes as she did as she was told, and right when he was about to release, he realized how much he had missed her.
He turned her head and moved around to kiss her as he filled her up. Then he broke the kiss and sank back in his seat as she climbed off and righted her clothes. Bay put his cock away and couldn’t have picked a better time because across the room, Raven and Ethan approached.
“Having all the fun you wanted?” Bay asked Ethan. He hoped the man would get his money’s worth, especially since he’d never know just how much the woman had cost him. Bay was going to consider this a gift, his charity for the month. His good deed for all the bad he’d done lately.
“As a matter of fact, yes. I’m having a great time with this sexy lady. This one is challenging my mind. She’s smart and a good girl.” Ethan’s face had a warm glow, and sweat had beaded on his brow.
“Hopefully, not too good,” Bay said with a warning tone that went right over Ethan’s head.
“We just wanted to say goodnight,” said Ethan. “I’ve talked this gorgeous woman into coming back to the hotel with me. I think we’re about to hit the nearest diner and grab a bite to eat. Nate called and said not to wait up for him and Eve.”
Bay looked over at Raven, but she turned away and didn’t meet his stare. “Have a good one, man. We’ll catch up later.”
As they walked away, Bay chuckled, and Mia leaned against his shoulder. “Darek is going to be so pissed off,” she said. “Isn’t Ethan his friend? You know Raven was his girl.”
“Yeah, perhaps, but that’s what happens when you fall in love with someone who has fucked half of your friends. They continue to fuck your friends. Besides, do you really think I give two fucks what Darek Blake thinks?”
Mia shook her head. “Have you been with her?”
“Not yet,” said Bay, noticing Mia stiffen beside him. He turned and took her hand. “Now, kitten, you can’t be jealous. My fucking anyone else doesn’t have anything to do with you. You knew you were sharing the minute we started.” He had never made any promises to her or anyone else to be faithful, not even his wife.
She poked out her chin. “Well, you don’t have to tell me about it. Can’t you just pretend like you don’t want her?” She turned around and took a sip of her drink.
“It’s just a curiosity, Mia. It would mean absolutely nothing.” It would mean something, though, and he knew it. It would piss Darek off and let him know he was still in charge. Perhaps he’d wait until the killer was found and fuck her just to mess with the detective.
“I bet it wouldn’t feel like absolutely nothing.” She looked away and smiled at one of the men across the room who was still staring at her like he was about to come in his pants. “What if I’m ever curious?”
Bay knew she was being a shit on purpose by bringing that up, but he decided to let it go. “I think you’ve been curious enough lately. Now unless you want to ruin my good mood, I think you should drop it.”
Mia looked away. “I’m ready to go home. We don’t have to close, do we?” Bay had made her stay late with him many times, and she’d never enjoyed it.
Is Eve going to do it?”
“No, I put someone else in charge of that, with Eve taking the night to play.” He got to his feet and felt the vibration in his pocket. He checked his phone to see another thank you from Ethan, and before he could put it away, it buzzed again. “Fucking Ethan.” He glanced at the screen but was surprised to see it wasn’t his friend.
Betty was back.
Bay didn’t want to deal with the killer while in the public club. It could wait until he had a bit more privacy. “Come on. Let’s get home, and I’ll tuck you into bed.” He took her hand and waved his other at one of the bouncers, gesturing for the man to lead them out. He had always made sure that he and Mia had security in the club, and he never walked to his car alone.
They made their way out, after a quick stop for Mia to freshen up, and once they settled in the car and Bay made it to the freeway, she leaned back in the seat beside him and closed her eyes.
He hated that he cared for her so much, hated it to the very core of his being and wished he could stop, loathing what it might mean that he couldn’t and didn’t want to.
Love is weakness, the voice inside him said. Love makes you lose control.
“Control is everything,” he whispered, reaching over to stroke Mia’s hair as she slept.
He drove all the way home and parked before glancing at his phone again to read the message the killer had sent.
Work smart, not hard.
Sucks I’ve had to do your dirty work, he sent back. The killer was a pompous asshole, and he hoped that they would let their ego be their downfall. How Darek had not caught this piece of shit yet was beyond him. He had a right mind to call him up and bitch him out, but he figured he’d let him get good and rested for the bomb that would drop the next day.
The next message came quickly. It’s nice sitting back watching you implode.
Bay readied his fingers to retort but saw that the killer was typing something else. “Come on you bastard. Keep talking.”
I think to prove a point, I’ll just take one of you out right under your nose.
